Our Story

How it all started...

Our church was stablished in 1951, by Swedish emigrants from the movement called Mission Friends. They value the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God’s grace and ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through a faith with Jesus Christ, the importance of extending God’s love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity.

Throughout the years the surrounded demographic of Emmanuel Church (formerly known as White Oak Covenant) changed, and the church became more diverse and reflective of the community around. Today we are serving the English and Spanish speaking community.
