Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Emmanuel Covenant Church of Northridge  summed up in six affirmations.

First

We affirm the centrality of the word of God.

Second

We affirm the necessity of the new birth.

Third

We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.

Fourth

We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.

Fifth

We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.

Sixth

We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ.

Emmnauel Covenant Church is:

* Evangelical, but not exclusive
* Biblical, but not doctrinaire
* Traditional, but not rigid
* Congregational, but not independent
